The chart above shows that home-owners are tending to stay in their homes for longer periods of time.

We can speculate on the why this happening, but I suspect this might be compounded by those with golden handcuffs of extremely low mortgage interest rates.

If you were looking for a reason to focus on helping a group that does transactions without selling their primary residence… then might I suggest serving real estate investors as a possible option?

Seriously, some real estate investors… especially Nomads™… might be buying a property every year (not once every 10 years).

That means if you do an amazing job really helping them and you help them buy 10 properties over 10 years instead of just 1 property every 10 years… they are potentially worth more than 10 times what a client that only does 1 transaction every 10 years is worth to you.

And, it certainly does not cost you 10 times as much to acquire and keep them happy as clients… not even close.

Love,

James Orr
